| I watched you guys at Turfway back in March 2008. I thought the night rocked (not to mention dollar bets, dollar hotdogs and dollar beers!). Looking back at Dick's bands of the past (he played in) he forgot to mention one of his genesis bands "Free Chicken and Beer", their introduction to the world was on a 40 foot flat bed trailer (a party he was hosting) in his mother's side yard in 1986. It's nice to know that one of Dick's favorite quotes is from Donkey in the movie Shrek!

| Hey there Doghouse boys. This is your old buddy Neil Sedaka writing you. Gee wilikers, its been a long time since you visited me on my ranch in Reno. Oh we really rock 'n rolled that weekend...remember when you ran through some of my classics, like "Laughter in the Rain", "Calendar Girl", and who can forget "Happy Birthday Sweet 16". You are one ruff and rowdy rock band. I cherish those memories. Many of my friends think Chuck kind of sounds like me. And Rick, he has many of my feminine qualities. So of course I'm very fond of you boys. Who wouldn't be. Doghouse Rocks, as the saying goes.
Anyway, I'm rambling again. But the reason I'm writing is to see how that Sedaka medley is coming along. Remember, Dick said he was going to string together about 30 of my classics into one 10 minute song? Oh, that Tricky Dicky is one of my favorite doggy boys in the big old dog house! Oh and I can't forget Chris...one sexy Italian stud there. Yeah, Chrissy, you and I could have been buddies in the olden days, singing under the streetlight, doing the doo-wop songs together, you tapping out the rhythm on the lamp-post with your drummers sticks. Us Italian guys need to stick together...watch each other's backs if you know what I mean.
But back to the Sedaka medley. I think it would be marvy if you started out with a little drum solo, surf style, just before launching into a heavy metal sounding "Bad Blood"...Ohh I was ahead of my time on that one. Maybe Dick could turn up the fuzz-tone to make it really boogie! I think I'm really the founding father of Metal, even though Pat Boone says the same thing. He is a cutie too, that Pat. But keep working on that medley. Who knows, it could turn into another Jersey Boys on Broadway. That Frankie Valli is just one more Italian man after my own heart. Just don't do a medley for him, he has more hits than I do! LOL, LOL (that stands for Lots of Laughter...maybe even Laughter in the Rain!!!) I'll have to swing by and see you boys sometime, maybe we can have a cocktail together and you can let me sit in for a few golden oldies.

| NO, you ain't missin out on yer cypherin uff numerrz. Dick is all Theory! It takes a bit longer for him to get things added up. The official Total count is: CCH 5, Conner 1. Original founders Tom Schulte, Paul Reisenberg and myself are CCH'n. Dick came along and that made it 3:1 but Ric jumped in the mix pushing it up to 4:1. Now, times have changed w/ Chris taking Paul's place and Tom's departure. So we are officially at 3:1 Chris, Ric, Chuck R CCH grads and lonely ol' Dick is the 1 Conner kitten. But he has some really coooooolllll guitarzzzz. |

| On his Bio page, Dick says the band is now 40% Conner and 60% Cov Cath grads. Now... I have a B.S. in Math but I believe Dick has a M.S. in Math. And perhaps there is some quantum equation that he learnt in grach-eee-ate school that I didn't. But how do those percentages work out with only 4 guys in the band ? |

| This is Bonzo, or Gonzo...not really sure what they used to call me back in the day. I'm still shaking off that vodka binge back in September of 1980. They say I choked on my own vomit, but that's just the PR folks trying to make me a legend like Hendrix. I mean really, what do you expect after putting down a few gallons of Smirnoff. But anyway, I'm not really dead and I'm just now getting around to letting people know about it. After being drunk for nearly 16 years, I'm a little shocked about the things that have unfolded in the rock world since my "dark sleepy-bye." Wait a minute...that's 26 years...the math is still asleep. Anyway, what's this I hear about Paul Riesenberg leaving Doghouse? Bloody hell, somebody get me another drink. Look, I just hope this new chap can keep a bloody beat. Rumor has it he played with the legendary Johnny Fink at one time. He's not dead yet either. And I hear this new chap rocked the house on his first gig, so I guess that's a good sign. Good luck to the new bloke. Maybe I'll run around sometime and give him a ride in the Bentley, give him a few "trees" to smack the skins with, eh? And when the hell is Doghouse going to play "Achilles Last Stand" anyhow? Or "When the Levee Breaks" cuz you know that's kind of topical from what I'm told, with the whole New Orleans thing, which I bloody slept through. Somebody give Stewy a few shots of some liquid courage and he'll be right in line with Jimmy Page on a few of these zep classics. Well, I feel another headache coming on. Need another tipsy-sipsy. | There was a Paul Riesenberg sighting Saturday night at the Aronoff Center. The "Question" is, was he there as an emergency stand-in for Graham Edge or was he there taking notes to enhance the song list for Doghouse?? For anyone else present that night, Paul should become more like Graham and make his presence front and center on stage - it is amazing the versatility of a highly paid and professional drummer. Graham could actually sing, speak, dance and play another instrument, something that is definately in Paul's bag of tricks (even though it was a tamborine) . By the way, Paul and Graham do favor one another. Could it be that it really was Paul playing the drums that night - it is Holloween isn't it?
Hope to see Doghouse in the near future because "it's always lovely to see you again - my fiend". We won't be surprised now if we hear a Moody Blues tune from Doghouse because you are "Just singers in a rock and roll band" |

They are looking for someone to play the evening of October 1st. She doesn't anticipate it being a late night. She mentioned 11:00 or so. Was interested in knowing what you would charge if available. Thanks for a great evening at St Paul's. Everyone had a great time and you guys were a major part of it.
Connie's favorite song that night was the Kiss - "rock and roll all night" and "no matter". Thanks for putting her picture on the website, her children, relatives, friends etc. can see how she used to be before having 3 kids and working at Radius Construction. She tries to maintain an image now.
My favorite song was "what I like about you".
You impressed the fickle Tobler boys - they made this comment all evening "I like that song!"
If you ever play a Moody Blues song I know Connie would become a groupie forever - she's close now. I would feel the same if you dabbled in a little Jethro Tull. Can anyone play the flute???
Your website is excellent - very informative and professional. The pictures are a nice touch too.
Again, thanks so much for playing that night. Connie told me it was the most fun she ever had on New Year's Eve and she was still somewhat sober.

| I've only heard a bootleg tape of the band, but let me tell ya, Doghouse Rocks, and I'd say that even if I really was Joe Perry. But remember, I'm not.
For anyone who thinks Doghouse does NOT rock, Get a Grip. I've lived Nine Lives, heard some pretty good Live Bootlegs before, and if you trash Doghouse then I just have to Draw the Line. You've got Toys in the Attic if you think they don't rock. And its not all just Done with Mirrors. Get a copy of one of their bootlegs and Just Push Play. That'll help you Get your Wings for sure. And check 'em out live too, I've heard they can really Rock in a Hard Place. Sure to Pump you up. But don't mess with the roadie, you might get kicked Night in the Ruts. -Not Joe Perry. |

I just read some tripe on this site about me having been seen taking notes from Mr. Stewart's performance. I'd like to set the record straight.
I have never seen Doghouse perform in my life. Not once. Well, Ok, by accident, I stopped off for a pint, and there they were. But while I was attending to my ale, I did not take notes about what the band was doing. I did happen to have a spiral notepad in my pocket and decided to draw some, um, designs for my website, yes, that's it, my website. So if someone saw me doodling, it was not because I was documenting how well Dick was playing MY own bloody songs. And while some of my drawrings may have looked like musical notation, that was purely coincidental. All 23 pages of it.
And the chap next to me may have looked like Joe Perry, but his lawyers have instructed me to strictly deny that it was him. So it wasn't.
In closing, let me say that despite the misunderstanding, Doghouse Rules! |

| Doghouse rules. Here's my favorite band moment: I saw them playing out once and Peter Frampton was there, lurking in the shadows, with a fake beard and ballcap. When Dick started playing "Do You Feel Like We Do", ol' Pete got out a small pencil and pad of paper and began scribbling wildly. If that was not incredible enough, I looked over and there, standing right next to Mr. Frampton was Joe Perry, wearing the "groucho marx" fake glasses, nose and mustache. He was not taking notes, but I believe he was recording the gig on a portable MP3 recorder. Incredible night. But I know that nobody will ever believe me. |
